About the Role

As a Sr. Product Dvl Engineer in the Signal Integrity team you will focus on the electrical design, simulation, and verification-validation testing of high speed products in the connector and/or cable assembly, radio system industry—targeting high speed communications and connectivity within datacenters and wireless infrastructure. You will independently work on projects in signal integrity for product and system design including modeling, simulation, testing and circuit board layout, and collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing & operations teams. You will be the subject matter expert for signal integrity performance from initial analysis through prototype fabrication, evaluation and production verification testing.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert in signal integrity design, simulation and validation throughout product development cycles
• Establish signal integrity performance/functional requirements for new products
• Perform signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards, selecting appropriate simulation methodology and setup
• Perform PCB schematic and layout reviews and provide actionable recommendations based on reviews and simulation results
• Guide connector design and component qualifications from a signal integrity standpoint and make data-driven decisions about product functionality and improvements
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (mechanical, manufacturing, operations) to execute product designs
• Lead prototype fabrication, evaluation and production verification testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years relevant experience in electrical design, RF design, or PCB design
• Proficient with signal integrity analysis tools (Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS, CST, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior
• Strong analytical capabilities to interpret simulation and lab data and provide corrective solutions
• Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written) to facilitate global communication
• Ability to work in a global environment and collaborate across time zones; highly motivated, quick learner, able to work independently
• Nice to Have: experience with interconnect design (socket/connector/cable assemblies, twinax, DAC), RF antenna or RF sub-system design; design experience with communication systems (servers, switches, routers, storage, RF front end); presentation skills; Six Sigma or strong data analytics background; PCB tools (Altium, AutoCAD); project leadership across design, development & manufacturing; test equipment experience (oscilloscope, VNA, BERT); signal conditioning and equalization techniques; direct customer design/support and application/test knowledge of high-speed devices
