Quality Engineer - Rayong, Thailand

About the Role

Quality Engineer based in Rayong, Thailand for Harbor Freight Tools. Provide QA support on assigned projects to ensure product and manufacturing processes meet HFT quality requirements. Onsite position with occasional travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inline and final inspections according to company product and packaging requirements.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports within required timeframes.
• Follow up on quality issues such as CAPA and SCAR from US customers, US QA team and suppliers.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve quality issues found during inspections and report final solutions to the line manager.
• Investigate production and material problems with suppliers, perform root cause analysis, and propose corrective actions and improvement approaches.
• Ensure corrective action plans are implemented with suppliers and maintain regular communication with factories.
• Collaborate with US QA teams to provide product and customer requirement information.
• Willingness to work under pressure and travel frequently when required to meet inspection deadlines.
• Additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in tools inspection or manufacturing field; college diploma or above.
• Hands-on practical experience with related HFT product offerings is desired.
• Good understanding of manufacturing quality processes.
• Knowledge of US standards such as UL, CSA, ETL, ANSI, and ASTM preferred.
• Written communication skills necessary for technical report writing and strong follow-up skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, work independently, and manage time effectively.
• Fluent in both written and oral English and Mandarin.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
