R&M Specialist

Responsibilities

• Inspection, testing, qualification, repair and maintenance of field tools, including preventive & corrective maintenance, retrofit and upgrade to electronic, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, data acquisition systems, downhole tools & communication equipment.
• Perform tasks using Company guidelines, technical work instructions, test procedures, schematics, engineering notices and best practices, under the direction and supervision of a senior R&M Specialist, Lead Specialist or Supervisor.
• As a senior R&M Specialist, lead and oversee tasks carried out by other R&M employees.
• Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance and ensure all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with the Company’s Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practices, and comply with the Company’s Rules to Live By.
• Place Quality, Health & Safety, Security and protection of the Environment as core values and seek continual improvement in HSE, taking into account responsible care, process vulnerabilities, public, customer and employee inputs, knowledge, technology and best practices.
• Supervisors and Managers must demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety arrangements of all subordinates and for any persons visiting Company premises.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience, preferably in Oil & Gas industry
• Diploma
• Basic Computer Skills
• Proficient in English

Skills

• Basic mathematics
• Working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements & explosives; awareness of NDT, NDE and ATEX policies & principles
• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and monitoring of equipment
• Ability to diagnose issues and problems with tools/equipment (required for more senior roles)
• Critical thinking, active learning & listening, complex problem solving; good reading and writing skills; strong judgement and decision-making in line with policies & procedures
• Time management; information & task ordering and the ability to identify potential problems and solutions
• Quality control analysis to ensure products meet required standards; capable to meet the physical demands of the role
• Ability to react effectively and efficiently when operating tools and machinery and to visualise assembly, repair or modifications
