Senior Design Engineer (Motor)

About the Role

Carrier is seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Motor) to lead the development, testing, and validation of motors and electrical components for air conditioning products. This role is responsible for ensuring product performance, safety compliance, and technical excellence while supporting new product development and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead testing and evaluation of motors and electrical components to ensure compliance with safety standards and product requirements
• Drive design, development, and validation activities for new products and engineering improvements
• Analyze and troubleshoot motor and electrical component issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Support new component development, qualification, and implementation activities
• Resolve technical issues on production lines to ensure product quality and manufacturing efficiency
• Prepare and review engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Collaborate with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to support product development and project execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in motor design, electrical component development, product testing, or HVAC product engineering
• Strong knowledge of motors, electrical systems, and air conditioning products
• Experience in product validation, troubleshooting, and engineering problem-solving
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills
• Good command of English
