Layout Designer

About the Role

Design each work in full compliance to Clients requirements and specifications. Ensure that each work is designed in accordance to company standards and criteria. Design layout safety functions and prepare safety specification in accordance to internationally recognized safety standard and requirements. Collect and maintain up-to-date machine drawings database. Provide engineering support to Project Engineering and Sales teams, during preparation of tender documents. Provide engineering support to Project Management team, during execution phase. Provide engineering support to Technical Manager in evaluating equipment from sub-suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concept layout for contracting activities.
• Assist Project Engineer/Manager and Customer in design of layout as per company standard and criteria.
• Prepare final layout/drawings/sketches for execution of project.
• Prepare As-Built layout once the project is completed.
• Maintain library of standard rules & layout configurations to minimize drafting time in pre-contracting activities.
• Coordinate with the related Technical Department (at Headquarter) for technical layout validation, specifically in terms of structural tolerances and industrial safety standards.
• Evaluate sub-supplier equipment in conjunction to company design standard and criteria.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (CE, EE, ME) or Architectural
• Skilled in mechanical CAD drafting / design
• Experience in mechanical structural design / evaluation
• Knowledge of CE safety standard machine design is a plus
• Computer literate and proficient in basic software
• Good command of English
• Self-sufficient and proactive attitude
• Pragmatic approach and result orientation
• Good organizational and teamwork skill
