About the Role

Alibaba Cloud is hiring an IDC Commissioning Engineer based in Bangkok, Thailand. Responsible for IDC engineering projects, including self-built bases and leased projects, involving the formulation and breakdown of construction delivery goals, comprehensive schedule planning, quality objectives, and safety objectives.

Responsibilities

• IDC Delivery Planning: formulate and break down construction delivery goals, schedule planning, quality objectives, and safety objectives for data center projects.
• Process Management: manage quality, safety, cost, and risk during delivery; identify potential risks in advance and develop resolution strategies to achieve delivery goals.
• Control project lifecycle: control the pace of data center construction and delivery projects from government project initiation to final acceptance and handover, managing the entire lifecycle.
• Coordination and Management: manage regional project delivery teams and coordinate with design, cost, and procurement teams to advance construction progress, quality, and safety objectives.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and maintain vendor relationships to ensure compliance with construction regulations.
• System Development: lead development of construction management systems, including schedule management, quality management, safety management, and evaluation systems for general contractors and management companies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data center construction and project management.
• Possess full lifecycle project management capabilities to effectively control overall project goals, schedule, and quality.
• Regularly review projects and adjust project priorities and resource balancing to align with organizational strategy and progress.
• Achieve organizational goals through overall delivery of project portfolios and realize strategic objectives.
• Proficient in full lifecycle management of major professional areas in the infrastructure field (e.g., construction, low-voltage systems, electrical systems).
• Continuously learn new technologies, theories, and methods in the industry and apply them as appropriate.
• Problem solver with the ability to summarize issues and create platform models.
• Able to organize the formulation and breakdown of project goals to form project portfolio plans and define project priorities and allocate resources to ensure effective resource utilization.
