Manager, Project HSE

What you’ll do

• Lead the implementation of project HSE programs, procedures, and initiatives.
• Provide HSE leadership and guidance to project teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with Worley standards, client requirements, and local regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Monitor and manage high-risk activities including lifting operations, work at height, confined space entry, hot work, electrical safety, and permit-to-work systems.
• Drive contractor HSE performance and promote a proactive safety culture across the project.
• Develop and deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training programs.
• Support emergency preparedness, drill exercises, and incident response activities.
• Prepare and communicate HSE reports, performance metrics, and improvement plans.
• Work closely with Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning teams to identify and mitigate project risks.

What you’ll have

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional Safety Officer certification or equivalent HSE qualification.
• Extensive HSE experience supporting major construction, industrial, energy, petrochemical, tank terminal, or EPC/EPCM projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk management, incident investigation, and contractor safety management.
• Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, permit-to-work systems, JSA/JHA, and emergency response planning.
• Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience managing contractor performance in complex construction environments.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary project team.
• Good command of written and spoken English

Preferred

• Experience on tank farm, terminal, refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, or bulk storage facility projects.
• Experience supporting construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Trainer certification or experience delivering HSE training and awareness programs
