IT Manager – Fraser Suites Bangkok, Thailand

About the Role

Fraser Suites Bangkok in Thailand is slated to open in 2026. This role is responsible for managing all IT systems and infrastructure within the hotel property to ensure reliable operations, security, and continuous support for business functions and guest services. Onsite, full-time position supporting pre-opening, daily operations and ongoing system maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily IT operations including PMS, POS, network, servers, Wi‑Fi, and telecom systems to ensure uptime and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain business continuity
• Maintain IT infrastructure including backups, disaster recovery, and system updates
• Implement basic cybersecurity and data protection measures and ensure compliance with company IT policies
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance, support, installations, and system upgrades; escalate and track resolutions
• Support pre-opening IT projects: align IT architecture, coordinate installation (PMS, POS, network, Wi‑Fi, IPTV, telephony), participate in testing, UAT and system validation
• Support infrastructure setup (cabling, server room) and assist with IT documentation, asset handover, and setup of support model
• Supervise IT support staff and allocate tasks; provide training and guidance to hotel users and collaborate with hotel operations teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience, preferably in hotels, resorts, or hospitality environments
• Experience managing IT operations and supporting business‑critical property systems (PMS, POS)
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure: networking, servers, databases, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies
• Leadership and people management experience with ability to guide a small team
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and basic project management skills for system implementations and upgrades
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑department coordination
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to IT emergencies outside regular working hours; detail‑oriented and guest‑focused mindset
