About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you'll play a crucial role in ensuring delivery of high-quality software by building and executing automated testing across multiple products and platforms, improving engineering and testing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test frameworks and tools to fill test gaps.
• Design and implement high-quality automated tests to verify release readiness and product quality, including complex multi-system scenarios.
• Drive quality within PQX by advocating for high quality, escalating issues found by automation or blocking test execution, and helping other teams understand testing importance.
• Manage contingent engineers on the team to ensure high output volume.
• Partner with infrastructure and product engineering teams to ensure automated testing is fully enabled.
• Independently drive goals as a project manager: track and report status (using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar), escalate risks, and find solutions to obstacles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Mathematics or related disciplines.
• 5+ years experience developing and analysing technical automated test frameworks and infrastructure, and assisting in planning, tracking and control of test environments and data.
• 5+ years coding experience in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++ (or equivalent), including code maintenance and review.
• Experience in SAP (OTC process) automation test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Postman; automation experience of APIs.
• Strong experience implementing QA processes and methodologies; experience with automation testing types (Unit, Functional, Load, Security, Behavioral, Integration, Component, Contract, End-to-End).
• Experience creating test automation code and frameworks that can simulate complex multi-system scenarios, building automation strategies and estimating test efforts, and reviewing QA procedures to eliminate redundancies and improve efficiency.
• Cross-functional test lead experience managing large projects interacting with multiple systems; able to work with cross-functional teams to build and deliver projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; proactive, resourceful, able to rally members to collaborate and deliver tasks in a timely manner.
• Willingness to work based on clients’ business workdays and office hours, on rotation to support critical requests after client hours, and ability to travel or be placed at client sites if required.
