Plan & Spec Engineer – Data Center Solutions

About the Role

Carrier is seeking a Plan & Spec Engineer – Data Center Solutions to support the growth of our Life Cycle Solutions business. This role combines technical expertise and customer engagement to develop customized cooling solutions for mission-critical Data Center environments. You will work closely with customers, consultants, application engineers, and sales teams to position Carrier’s industry-leading technologies and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, consultants, and project stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements for Data Center projects
• Support the development of customized cooling solutions, including chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, liquid cooling systems, and controls
• Collaborate with Application Engineering teams to evaluate system designs and recommend optimal solutions
• Deliver technical presentations, solution proposals, and product demonstrations to customers
• Lead discussions on energy efficiency, lifecycle costs, ROI, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Review project specifications and identify opportunities to position Carrier solutions in the early design phase
• Support commercial negotiations, proposal development, and contract discussions
• Work closely with sales and service teams to support project execution and long-term customer relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC applications, pre-sales engineering, plan & spec, solution engineering, or technical sales
• Knowledge of chiller systems, Data Center cooling, CRAC/CRAH, controls, or mission-critical infrastructure
• Strong understanding of HVAC system design and energy-efficient solutions
• Comfortable presenting technical solutions to customers, consultants, and decision-makers
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and commercial awareness
• Good command of English and Thai
