About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. This role is responsible for editing podcast content into engaging long-form and short-form videos optimized for audience retention and social media performance. The ideal candidate understands storytelling, pacing, internet culture, and how to create high-performing content for platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.

Responsibilities

• Edit videos for YouTube and other digital platforms
• Create engaging short-form clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Shorts
• Improve viewer retention through pacing, cuts, captions, sound design, and visual storytelling
• Collaborate with producers and creative teams to align with content direction and deadlines
• Handle post-production processes including audio clean-up, color correction, subtitles, and motion graphics when needed
• Organize and manage editing assets efficiently
• Stay updated with social media and podcast content trends

Qualifications

• Proven experience in video editing, podcast editing, or content editing
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software
• Strong understanding of YouTube and short-form content trends
• Good sense of storytelling, timing, and audience engagement
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage timelines independently
• Portfolio or sample works is required
• Preferred: Experience editing creator, entertainment, or interview-style content; familiarity with motion graphics and subtitle styling; understanding of analytics and content performance optimization
• Nice to have: Experience working with podcasts, creators, or media agencies; knowledge of social-first editing styles and viral content trends; comfortable appearing on camera for behind-the-scenes or collaborative creative needs when required
