R&M Specialist

About the Role

In addition to the inspection, testing and qualification, repair and maintenance of field tools, the R&M Specialist performs preventive & corrective maintenance, retrofit and upgrade to electronic, mechanic, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, data acquisition systems, downhole tools & communication equipment. Tasks are carried out using Company guidelines, technical work instructions, test procedures, schematics, engineering notices and best practices under the direction and supervision of a senior R&M Specialist, Lead Specialist or Supervisor. Senior roles will lead and oversee tasks carried out by other R&M employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, testing, qualification, preventive and corrective maintenance, retrofit and upgrades on field tools and equipment (electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic), data acquisition systems, downhole tools and communication equipment
• Execute work using technical work instructions, test procedures, schematics, engineering notices and Company guidelines
• Diagnose issues, perform troubleshooting, repair and monitoring of equipment; senior roles lead and oversee other R&M staff
• Maintain highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring activities comply with Company Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
• Place quality, health & safety, security and environmental protection as core values and seek continual improvement in HSE and responsible care
• Supervisors and managers to demonstrate effective safety leadership for subordinates and visitors on Company premises

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
• Diploma
• Basic computer skills
• Proficient in English

• Basic mathematics
• Working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements & explosives; awareness of NDT, NDE and ATEX policies & principles
• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and monitoring of equipment
• Critical thinking, active learning & listening, complex problem solving
• Good reading and writing skills, strong judgment and decision-making aligned with procedures
• Time management and quality control analysis to ensure product meets required standards
• Capable of meeting physical demands of the role and able to react effectively when operating tools and machinery
• Ability to plan assembly/repair/modifications and to identify potential problems and solutions
