At Oliver James Lilos we create sanctuaries for rest, play, and connection. We design and manufacture upholstered inflatables for in-water use. Our team is based in Bangkok, with our office temporarily located in Phra Khanong.

About the Role

Junior Product Designer (hybrid generalist) joining a small studio. Core work is product engineering: Rhino surface modeling, technical drawings, BOMs, and design-for-manufacturing, supported by visual design, supplier coordination, and project organization. Close mentorship from the Customer Experience Lead with a clear path to a Design Lead role over time.

Responsibilities

• 3D surface modeling in Rhino 3D
• Prepare supplier-ready technical 2D drawings and update drawings/specifications based on feedback
• Build and maintain Bills of Materials (parts, subassemblies, materials)
• Design for manufacturing alongside suppliers; materials sourcing, sampling, and review
• Define product requirements and quality guidelines; build knowledge of materials, processes, and product details
• Prepare graphics, layouts, and presentation decks; collate moodboards and CMF references; develop concepts under direction
• Collaborate with suppliers, procurement, and the customer experience team; help organize and run projects day-to-day; support light administrative tasks tied to active projects

Qualifications

• Required: Rhino 3D (or any surface modeling), 2D technical drawing fluency, comfort building and structuring BOMs
• Required: strong organization and follow-through; care, curiosity, and humility; working English; eligible to work in Thailand
• Strong plus: background in industrial design or product design engineering; working knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes; hands-on prototyping (foam, sewn samples, shop work); experience working directly with suppliers; Figma; working Thai
• Nice to have: soft goods/sewn product or outdoor living category experience; Asana, Notion, Google Workspace and Mac fluency; Adobe Creative Suite; AI literacy; experience delegating and evaluating outputs; working Mandarin

Additional Information

• Location: On-site in Phra Khanong, Bangkok, with travel to suppliers as required
• Employment: Open to a 1–3 month paid trial that transitions to full-time if mutual fit, or full-time from day one
