Creations & Applications Lab Team Leader - Your future position?

Location Thailand, Bangkok. You will be reporting to Head, Applications & Creation Labs (SEA)

Main Responsibilities and Duties

Application & Creations Lab

• Coordinate activities of creations and application lab, including preparation of samples for internal and external customers and definition of priorities.
• Manage the workload of team and coordinate OT if needed
• Act as point of contact in the lab for daily lab deliverables and for quality assurance
• Ensure high service levels and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Analyse the root cause on defects to eliminate and avoid repeat defects
• Replenishment of the Lab consumables and inventories to ensure no downtime
• Proper stock management of the Lab items to maintain proper records and timely disposal of expired materials.
• Continuous improvement to the work processes for better quality and efficiency
• Contribute to defining applications protocols and procedures with other teams
• Safely operate, maintain and organize lab equipment
• Ensure the lab is in neat and orderly condition following good lab practices

People Management

• Supervise a small team of Technicians, plan, organize and optimize their work.
• Provide training and mentoring to the lab technicians
• Keep the team motivated, united and focused on the job and alert to Lab Manager if there are any concerns

• Good safety awareness in Chemistry Lab.

Primary Qualification

• Degree or Diploma Holder in Chemistry or related fields
• 4-5 years of experience in lab environment
• Proven track record of managing small lab team for at least 2yrs
• Experience in Fragrance industry (preferred but not a must)
• Good sense of smell
• No colour blindness
• No allergy to scent and soap/surfactant based products.
