About the Role

Due to continued growth of our global design center in Bangkok we are hiring a Deputy Structures Lead. The Deputy Structures Lead will support the Structures Lead in managing the Structures team for design production of bridges and port/marine structures, and carry out overall management duties including commercial development, production delivery, quality control, invoicing, recruitment and training.

Responsibilities

• Support the Structures Lead in appointing and managing Project Managers to deliver design production in terms of quality, schedule and budget
• Manage bridge and/or port projects including technical quality, planning, financial and contract aspects
• Prepare or review structural analysis and detailed design for bridges, viaducts, ports and other civil structures
• Identify creative and innovative engineering solutions based on client, project and site constraints and specifications
• Prepare technical and commercial design offers (bids) to Egis entities for bridge and/or port domains
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships for responsible projects
• Support recruitment and competency development: recruit Structural Engineers and CAD/BIM Technicians and ensure competency management plans
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff and participate in operational and line management of the Structures team
• Contribute to the department strategy and recruitment plan; coordinate with HR, IT and Finance
• Be familiar with and comply with the company’s Safety Policy and Quality Management System

Skills / Technical Skills

• Structural modelling software such as Sofistik, SCIA, Midas or similar
• Use of international codes such as Eurocodes, ACI, AASHTO
• Experience in BIM projects

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree (preferred) in Civil / Structural Engineering
• 10–15 years' experience in design activities related to bridge or port/marine structures
• Experience in handling, leading and checking structural designs (concrete or steel)
• Relevant experience in project management and ability to work under limited supervision
• Strong knowledge of international codes (Eurocodes, ACI, AASHTO)
• Strong experience using structural modelling software (Sofistik, SCIA, Midas or similar)
• Experience in working in an international context — good level of English (speaking & writing)
• Ability to work under pressure with a good working attitude; ability to analyse and communicate with outstanding writing and synthesis skills
• Experience in multi-cultural environments, BIM experience, management and leadership skills; team-oriented
