Engineer Application Engineering

About the Role

The Application Engineer is responsible for providing technical support during pre-sales, project execution, and after-sales stages to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements in technical specifications and cost efficiency, and to support successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales: review technical requirements and prepare product comparisons; recommend suitable solutions balancing cost and technical aspects; prepare technical solutions, product presentations, proposals and cost sheets; prepare and update product specifications in Thai and English for TOR; prepare competitor comparisons and provide training to the sales team; coordinate with technical teams or factories for product information and service pricing.
• Project Execution: coordinate with Project Managers to manage project timelines and scope; coordinate and supervise partners to install 3rd party products and services for costing; coordinate system configuration, system startup and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with PM, service teams or 3rd parties; coordinate preparation of shop drawings, as-built drawings (if needed), operation manuals in Thai and training documents; conduct training sessions; coordinate with Sales, PM and customer service for invoicing; travel upcountry for site visits and project operations.
• After-Sales Support: support the service team for after-sales services as required; investigate and resolve product or installation issues.
• Other Support: act as a speaker at marketing, partner and in-house training events; prepare technical documentation to apply TISI/EIT standards.
• Quality Management System: implement the process approach and risk-based thinking; provide support to implement and sustain the QMS; communicate the importance of conforming to QMS requirements; ensure QMS objectives are achieved; engage, direct and support individuals contributing to the QMS; create a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in electrical design engineering.
• Valid Electrical Engineering license.
• Valid driving license and ability to travel upcountry for site visits and project operations.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines and under pressure; proactive and target-oriented mindset.
• Good command of English, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic web-based application tools; solid understanding of computer hardware and software is an advantage.
