Senior Manager, Product Engineer (Projects)

Main Purpose of the Role

Manage all aspects of all projects for product development success by closely working with product development engineer team, from start to finish, to make sure they are completed on time and within budget. Together communication and collaboration for project implementation including monitor progress and performance against the project plan and gather necessary resources to complete the project.

Key Responsibilities

I&PD Strategy:

Implement the cascaded department strategy in alignment with the company roadmap, while managing projects to ensure adherence to budgeting, business case, change management, resource planning, and quality standards, thereby facilitating timely and cost-effective strategy implementation.

Product Development:

• Drive team collaboration and communication closely with other functional engineering and cross-functional teams to select and identify improvement areas for project management and run for improved efficiency and success in product development area.
• Lead and manage projects related to product & component specification, complex product, newness & innovation with proper timeline, budget forecast, tools and resources as required for project success.
• Drive and conduct project meetings & prepare data and reports including monitoring status updates and sharing within and beyond the project team to make sure targets are met.
• Drive and support product engineering strategy and other related strategies together with other engineering functions for successful implementation.
• Optimize design and technique of the products to achieve the target cost and find solutions in terms of product design to reduce costs when they exceed the target.
• Lead in running projects related to product development standards & processes and technical work for cost reduction.
• Ensure transparency and manage risk assessment during the development phase, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify solutions and options.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in product engineering project management. Implement best practices, lessons learned, and feedback from stakeholders to enhance project delivery processes.

Team Management / Leadership:

Coach and mentor project team to improve and assist them to solve problems and skill up in project management and other related skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Project Management, Jewelry or other related fields
• Project management skills
• At least 5 years experience in related Manufacturing or Project Management
• At least 5 years experience in Management level (Jewelry industry or related is preferred)
• Product development experience
