About the Role

As a R&D/Product Dvl Engineer II, you will be responsible for signal integrity design, simulation and validation activities throughout product development cycles, establish design performance/functional requirements, perform simulations and PCB reviews, and guide connector and component qualifications from a signal integrity standpoint.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert in signal integrity design, simulation and validation activities through product development cycles
• Establish signal integrity design performance and functional requirements for new products
• Perform signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards on each product, including selecting appropriate simulation methodology and setup
• Perform PCB schematic and layout reviews
• Create actionable recommendations based on design reviews and simulation results
• Guide connector design and component qualifications from a signal integrity standpoint and make data-driven decisions about product functionality and improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with interconnect design or connector and/or cable/cable assembly design (high speed twinax/RF cables, direct attach copper (DAC) cables)
• Demonstrated experience using signal integrity analysis tools (Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior
• Strong analytical capabilities to interpret simulation and lab data, identify issues and provide solutions
• Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and solid presentation skills to clearly communicate technical concepts in English
• Ability to work in a global environment across varying time zones, highly motivated, quick learner, and able to work independently
