VP Credit Approval

Responsibilities:

• To assist SVP Credit approval in ensuring sound asset quality, appropriate credit risk management procedures, and conservative credit culture throughout all lending of BKH, whilst ensuring that the credit approval process and other risk management procedures are responsive to customer needs.
• Reviewing/ recommending/ approving wholesale credit applications and transactions across all client & business types within delegated credit authority.
• Directly influence the operational effectiveness of the functional/functional unit.
• Co-ordinate and manage projects. Typically, works on large, moderately complex projects/assignments.
• Support decisions through advice, counsel or services in area of specialization.
• Accountable for delivery against prescribed targets, budgets and resourcing and responsible for volume, quality, and timeliness of end results.
• Act as initial point of escalation for team members.
• Adhere to and actively support established policies and procedures in own team.
• Support change initiatives and embed change initiatives within own team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related fields.
• Minimum 5-10 years experience in banking industry or credit area.
• Strong knowledge of banking products / Strong credit and analytical skill.
• Strong interpersonal skill with a consultative approach.
• Ability to make tough decision / Ability to work under high pressure environment.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
