Business Controller / Finance Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Controller / Finance Analyst to support brands in Thailand across financial aspects including analysis, monthly reporting, budgeting and ad-hoc finance needs. The role will challenge business decisions using reporting & analysis and present data commercially to optimise activities and costs.

Responsibilities

• Act as Thailand key contact for each brand on business activities and liaise with regional finance controller and HQ.
• Work with Thailand managers to define and implement appropriate analyses and local reports in coordination with regional/HQ requirements.
• Share actual vs budget activities with stakeholders (regional/local) and guide/support teams on business analysis and specific HQ reports.
• Analyse monthly P&Ls, prepare the monthly consolidated package and handle local reports requested by regional/HQ teams.
• Analyze overall delivery of company financial targets, evaluate profitability by brand, by customer and by channel, and recommend actions to improve ROI and efficiency.
• Identify business risks and prepare backup plans to achieve targets.
• Support budgeting, revisions and landing forecasts; maintain cost control and provide reports with recommended action plans.
• Support 3–5 year business plans by brand and prepare/review investment requests.
• Provide analytical support for cross-functional initiatives and ad-hoc projects (boutique performance, investments ROI, channel analysis, marketing, retail).
• Drive process improvements and enhance controlling capabilities; participate in finance/IT project implementations and reinforce internal control procedures.
• Own and drive agreed projects in Thailand as key contact with Brand Regional Controller.

Qualifications

• Business Administration or Accounting degree (Business school) preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a controlling/financial position within an international group; strong accounting and controlling background required.
• Advanced knowledge of financial systems (SAP, SyRUS, Orion) and excellent Excel skills.
• Ability to analyze, compare and interpret facts quickly and provide clear recommendations.
• Good communication skills in Thai and English; proficiency in oral and written English.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines; adaptable, proactive, autonomous and a team player.
• Experience in the beauty industry and understanding of product life cycles is a plus.
