IT Specialist (Quality Assurance)

Job Summary

To maintain sufficient QA capacity, ensure adequate testing coverage, and mitigate quality risks that may lead to production defects and operational impact.

Job Description

• Develop comprehensive test strategies—including test plans, objectives, and execution schedules—for functional, integration, regression, backend, end-to-end, and UAT testing to ensure full coverage and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Review and evaluate all project requirement documents, providing clear and constructive feedback to enhance accuracy, completeness, and testability.
• Support the project team by defining acceptance criteria for user stories to ensure clarity of expected outcomes and measurable success indicators.
• Collaborate closely with the team to plan and estimate effort for each user's story, ensuring efficient resource allocation and accurate sprint forecasting.
• Work hand in hand with cross functional teams to maintain high standards of quality and system reliability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Design, create, and execute detailed test cases for: Web applications across multiple browsers, Mobile applications, Front‑end / Back‑end systems, Client‑ and server‑side web services
• Communicate testing progress and results including defect metrics and overall quality insights—to project managers and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Implement and introduce new testing procedures to enhance automated functional and regression testing for both web and backend systems.
• Lead knowledge sharing and training sessions, fostering continual learning and improving testing capability across the team.
• Analyze defects and collaborate with developers by providing actionable feedback to accelerate issue resolution and improve product stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• 4–10 years of experience in software testing (experience in mobile application testing is a plus).
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
• Experience working with UNIX; C# programming experience is considered an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of PL/SQL, Web Applications, and Oracle Database.
• Basic familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium and Robot Framework.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies and tools.
• Strong self-management skills, including effective time management and task prioritization.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of handling multiple assignments and performing well under tight deadlines.
