About the Role
The Manager, Manufacturing Process Engineering is responsible for leading and managing the design, development, deployment and optimization of manufacturing processes to achieve quality, cost and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers. Location: Laem Chabang, Chonburi, Thailand. Onsite. Full-time.
Responsibilities
- Understand and implement customers' technical roadmaps and related process development projects.
- Lead development and release of full manufacturing processes for new customer products.
- Provide feedback on customers' technical requirements to team members and management.
- Develop and implement costed and optimized solutions using Design for Manufacturability (DFX) to reduce manufacturing cost and improve quality and reliability.
- Plan and lead capability assessments of process applications using Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Devise process controls and data collection strategies; evaluate complex data to report yield, reliability and diagnose root causes of failures impacting product quality.
- Communicate accurately and timely to management on critical technical and business issues.
- Set yearly plans and goals for the department, provide direction on expected performance, conduct performance evaluations and be accountable for department KPIs and targets.
Qualifications
- Degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of work experience in PCB assembly manufacturing field.
- Project management: able to manage/lead complex, multi-line engineering projects involving cross-functional teams, deliver within time and budget, and develop mitigation plans.
- Leadership: demonstrated people and team leadership, coaching/mentoring and performance management.
- Financial acumen/business planning: create financial plans, profitability calculations, risk and sensitivity analysis, and understand relevant financial/reporting requirements.
- Technical competencies (may include): Design of Experiments (DOE), D/PFMEA, 8D/corrective action, quality & lean methods, equipment safety, customer interaction and stakeholder management, creative problem solving.
