General Manager, Commercial -Shipping Solutions

About the Role

Location: This role is preferably based in Bangkok.

This role sits within DP World’s Marine Services (Shipping Solutions) business for Southeast Asia, with responsibility for Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. You will lead country-level commercial and sales activities to drive revenue growth, profitability, and customer acquisition. You will combine strategic execution with operational oversight, taking ownership of business development, key account management, customer engagement, and market representation, while ensuring alignment with country and regional commercial priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and sales activities to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets.
• Develop and execute local sales plans aligned with country and regional strategy.
• Build strong relationships with key customers, shippers, and freight forwarders.
• Drive customer retention, business development, and market expansion opportunities.
• Oversee pricing, quotations, tenders, and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure seamless delivery.
• Lead, coach, and develop the branch sales team to foster a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Shipping, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 12–15 years of commercial or sales experience in freight forwarding or shipping.
• Proven success in leading sales teams and delivering revenue growth.
• Strong knowledge of the regional container shipping market and customer landscape.
• Experience managing branch and country business unit dynamics.
