Senior Indirect Purchasing Officer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• To develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost saving, improve supplier performance, and ensure quality and service standards.
• To purchase and find sourcing of raw materials, general supplies, spare parts, and site services appropriate the company requirements with the right quantities, quality, price, source, and delivery dates.
• To implement/ensure compliance of company’s purchasing policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• To negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible outcome.
• To ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, ethical standards and achieve the best outcome.
• To process purchase requisition (PRs) and verify approvals before placing the order.
• To issue purchase orders (POs) by obtaining the complete authorized signatures.
• To maintain and manage supplier quality and performance.
• To maintain and ensure the Approved Vendor List (AVL), claims, and commitment approvals are regularly reviewed and updated.
• To follow-up/expedite/delay the purchase orders in accordance with the requested delivery date by contacting suppliers and make the filling of correspondence accordingly.
• To coordinate trial materials, cost-saving initiatives, and ISO documentation.
• To collaborate with regional procurement teams to align sourcing strategies and leverage group-level synergies.
• To monitor market trends, assess risks, and propose alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate supply disruptions or unfavorable terms.
• To verify invoice accuracy and coordinate with the Account Payable (AP) team for timely payment.
• To carry out supplier selection/audit on the key suppliers and the quarterly performance rating on strategic suppliers.

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5-8 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, procurement, or related operational functions.
• Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
• Knowledge of compliance standards, transportation regulations, and industry best practices.
• Good command of English and strong computer literacy, including Excel, Word, and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of SAP, Ariba system
• Strong knowledge of transportation operations, logistics or distribution processes
• Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing
