Senior Manager - Logistics

About the Role

Job Purpose: This position is responsible for logistics strategy / budget and management of all logistics activities (import, export, warehouse, transportation) for the company and affiliated including external customers. This position will liaise with the Logistics Service Providers to ensure cost and service meet target. Primary concentration will be on developing strategy and driving action. Strengthen 3rd party logistics provider and team are critical success factor for this role. This is executive level, develop strategy, professional team management, formal presentation to senior executive, project management and drive for results are mandatory. Drive Minor’s logistics toward future trend to maximize right tools/technology to achieve higher efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategy to support Minor International PCL strategy
• Develop and manage logistics budget
• Manage logistics to achieve business objectives and targets
• Ensure right logistics model per each segmentation
• Coordinate between MINT operations and Logistics Service Providers to ensure product availability while maintaining optimum inventory, smooth customer-focused operations and optimum cost
• Monitor and develop Logistics Service Provider performance and manage LSP contracts
• Work with supply chain team and key suppliers to ensure transport costs are within industry standards
• Evaluate logistics costs and rates periodically and maintain benchmarking on all logistics costs
• Supervise logistics team members and Logistics Service Providers
• Improve logistics team capability through technology adoption and people development
• Support international expansion and future growth of MINT in logistics and QA dimensions
• Transform current logistics operation to digital logistics
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least Bachelor Degree in related field (Supply Chain / Logistic / Engineering)
• At least 8 years in management level in supply chain management
• Experience in food service, logistics or retail industry would be an advantage
• Proficiency in English and computer literacy
• Be self-motivated, a strong team player and able to work under pressure

Skills

• Project management and formal presentation to senior executives

• Digital logistics / technology for efficiency and productivity
