Computing Technology Manager

Job Description

• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems for both servers and client environments.
• Perform operating system hardening and patch management to ensure security compliance.
• Manage system storage, including allocation and capacity planning for future requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems.
• Develop a thorough understanding of application environments under responsibility.
• Perform capacity planning to ensure optimal system performance and scalability.
• Configure system parameters and design disk RAID structures for new applications.
• Review and optimize system design, including storage, CPU, and memory utilization.
• Tune operating system parameters based on requirements provided by application teams.
• Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and efficiency.
• Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies for operating systems.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
• Develop, implement, and manage disaster recovery (DR) plans for operating systems.
• Install, configure, and support system tools and software such as BMC and TEM.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for operating system-related issues.
• Review and enforce operating system security controls and policies

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration and production support.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems (AIX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux,etc)
• Experience in troubleshooting OS, server, network, storage, and application-related issues.
• Experience with user account management, access control, and security hardening.
• Experience with backup and recovery procedures, disaster recovery, and high-availability environments.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise environments and mission-critical systems with 24x7 operations.
• Willingness to provide after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations when required.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Good communication skills in both Thai and English.
