Automation Engineer

About the Role

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation systems to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity in operations.

You will work closely with hiring supervisor and operation team to support machine operation and maintenance activity.

Responsibilities

• Take care of PLC and visualization system for the plant.
• Assist maintenance planning as required to evaluate machine repair (PLC and Visualization) plans and improvements.
• Work with operations and maintenance (supervisors and operators) to identify and execute opportunities to improve equipment to prevent or minimize downtime.
• Coordinate and work with equipment manufacturers and outside vendors to support operations and maintenance and improve repair effectiveness.
• Network with other Guardian, KII, and external partners to understand and apply best practices to maintenance and operation of equipment.
• Participate in projects and capital processes representing maintenance and operations to ensure equipment is designed to be operated and maintained consistent with plant expectations.
• Own the spare parts program and determine which parts need to be maintained to operate the facility consistent with Guardian’s risk profile.
• Conduct maintainability studies to understand and minimize MTTR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical, Control, Instrument Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical and automation systems.
• Experience and background in PLC.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Proactive, self motivated, fast learning, service mind and teamwork.
• Good in English both written and communicate.
