Test Engineer – Semiconductor (ATE / Sensor Products)

About the Role

Our client is a well-established international semiconductor company specializing in advanced sensor solutions, with strong R&D presence in Europe and manufacturing footprint in Asia. They are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to take ownership of backend test operations and industrialization activities, working closely with subcontractors and global engineering teams. This role sits at the intersection of test engineering, production, and product transfer, with a strong focus on scaling test solutions into high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee wafer sort, backend test, and final test activities at subcontractor sites
• Drive industrialization and transfer of test solutions into production
• Coordinate daily test operations, priorities, and alignment with external partners
• Work closely with R&D and product engineering teams to support new product introductions (NPI)
• Optimize yield, test time, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
• Define and implement test strategies, procedures, and improvement actions
• Troubleshoot and debug test programs and ATE equipment
• Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and test flow validation

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Semiconductor Engineering, or related field
• Around 5+ years' experience in semiconductor test engineering
• Strong exposure to wafer test, backend test flows, and production environments
• Hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as Advantest V93K, Cohu, or LTX systems
• Experience in test program development, debugging, and optimization
• Good understanding of analog / mixed-signal or sensor-based products
• Familiar with design-for-test concepts and yield improvement methodologies
• Comfortable working with subcontractors and cross-functional international teams
• Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving approach
• Fluent in English
