Senior Electrical Engineer (Data Center)

About the Role

Senior Electrical Engineer (Data Center) at Gulf Development Public Company Limited. Onsite. Available to work in Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Chonburi, and Rayong.

Responsibilities

• Assist in electrical system design and implementation for data center applications, including high voltage (HV), low voltage (LV) and DCIM/ECMS systems.
• Coordinate and execute maintenance activities for electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and operational efficiency.
• Diagnose electrical issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of critical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical system configurations, maintenance schedules, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Work with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure work meets established standards and contractual obligations.
• Participate in emergency response efforts to help restore normal operations during incidents.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay updated on technologies and best practices in data center electrical engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within a data center or similar critical environment; internships or co-op experiences are beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, DDC, PLC and relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and ETAP is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with electrical safety protocols is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and be proactive in taking on responsibilities.

Skills / Technical Skills

• Transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, DDC and PLC systems.
• AutoCAD; experience with Revit and ETAP considered a strong plus.
• Electrical safety protocols, documentation and maintenance scheduling.
• Troubleshooting, vendor coordination and emergency response for critical systems.
