Manufacturing Excellence Engineer (Scrap Reduction)

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate overall factory scrap account and provide strategic direction for scrap reduction initiatives.
• Set up project task forces and work closely with Production, Engineering, NPI, PC, Materials, IS and other departments to meet department and company goals.
• Drive efficiency improvements impacting HDD utilization and HDD/HSAs scrap KPIs.
• Participate in KPI planning focused on utilization improvement and scrap reduction.
• Initiate and promote scrap prevention strategies (e.g., teardown avoidance, consume path) and identify risks and opportunities related to WIP on hold.
• Initiate projects to improve and develop manufacturing processes to support scrap cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor degree or higher in Science or Engineering; at least 5 years working in related field.
• Preferred: Experience in HDD assembly process.

Skills

• Good command of spoken and written English
• Computer literacy
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong coordination, presentation, and analytical skills
