VP, IFRS Management

Job Description

• Lead accurate and timely IFRS 9 financial and regulatory reporting, including review of accounting judgments and key movements.
• Oversee ECL analysis, portfolio trend interpretation, reconciliations, and management insights.
• Establish and strengthen data governance, data quality controls, and end-to-end reporting integrity across Finance.
• Identify and deliver automation, AI, and process improvement opportunities in accounting, reporting, analysis, and controls.
• Partner with Risk, IT, Business, and Finance stakeholders to translate data and system requirements into accounting and reporting outcomes.
• Manage regulatory and audit-related requirements, issues, and remediation relevant to IFRS reporting.
• Lead annual and project plans, monitor KPIs, manage priorities, and ensure timely delivery.
• Coach and develop the IFRS Management team, building accounting, data, analytics, and innovation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Strong IFRS/TFRS expertise, particularly IFRS 9, with sound accounting judgment and an analytical mindset.
• Solid understanding of data governance, controls, and data quality.
• Data and analytics capability using tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or equivalent BI tools.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management across Finance, Risk, IT, Business, auditors, and regulators.
• Innovation mindset with demonstrated ability to drive automation and convert data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, project management, and change management skills.
