Field Application Engineer

About the Role

Field Application Engineers provide technical and solution support to sales and marketing, and are responsible for project coordination and supporting Project Managers in delivering proposed solutions to customers.

What you’ll do:

Pre-Sale Support

• Review technical aspects and prepare product comparisons based on customer requirements; advise suitable solutions regarding cost and technical aspects.
• Coordinate with the technical team or factory for additional technical support and product/service sale prices.
• Prepare solutions and present products.
• Prepare proposals and cost sheets for proposed solutions.
• Prepare and update product specifications in Thai and English for designers or customers to use in TOR.
• Prepare product comparisons with competitors, highlighting advantages and disadvantages, and train sales teams.
• Prepare ICS and obtain approval from CGM and/or EA team as authorized level.

Project Execution

• Coordinate with the Project Manager to manage project timelines within scope of work.
• Coordinate and supervise partners for installation of 3rd party products and services for costing.
• System configuration, system startup, and site acceptance test (SAT) in coordination with the Project Manager, service team, or 3rd party partner.
• Coordinate with partners and Project Managers to prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings (if needed), operation manuals in Thai, and training documents in coordination with the service team.
• Training in coordination with the Project Manager and service team.
• Coordinate with Sales, Project Managers, and customer service teams for invoicing.

After Sale Support

• Support the service team for after-sale service (if required).
• Investigate and solve product or installation issues (if required).

Other Support

• Support marketing events by speaking at public events, partner events, in-house training, etc.
• Support any technical documentation required for TISI application.
• Committed and responsible for Quality Management System:
  • Implement the process approach and risk-based thinking.
  • Provide necessary support to fully implement and sustain the QMS.
  • Communicate to the organization the importance of conforming to QMS requirements.
  • Ensure the QMS meets its goals.
  • Engage, direct, and support individuals contributing to the QMS.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical disciplines required.
• At least 1-3 years’ experience as FAE or related UPS product fields (Preferable).
• Working experience in recruitment field is highly preferred.
• Good command of English skills both oral and written communication.
• Strong sense of self-motivation, adaptability, and initiative.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Enthusiastic and can-do attitude.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Proactive and target oriented.
• Able to use MS-Office tools and basic application tools, web usage and web-based tools experience (preferable).
• Proficient with computer hardware and software experience to be an advantage.
• Able to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
