About the Role

The Structural Engineer will be based in Egis Global Design Center in Bangkok, supporting international projects and carrying out design of structures under the supervision of a Design or Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and detailed design for various types of bridges, viaducts and other civil structures
• Prepare design and calculation reports
• Follow up with CAD and BIM production to be in accordance with the design performed
• Prepare bill of quantity
• Attend meetings and prepare/distribute meeting minutes
• Prepare technical reports, progress reports and other documentations
• Ensure quality of design deliverables including calculation reports and drawings
• Be familiar and comply with the company’s Safety Policy and Quality Management System

Scope of Works

• Bridge and viaduct structures (substructures and superstructures)
• Elevated station structures (substructures and superstructures)
• Port structures
• Track work and other civil structures

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Up to three years experience in Civil Works Design and Structural Design appetency for bridges
• Knowledge of international codes such as Eurocodes, ACI, AASHTO
• First experience with structural modelling software such as Sofistik, SCIA, Midas or similar
• Pack Office skills – Mastery of Excel is a must (VBA is a plus)
• Ability to work in an international context
• Good level of English (speaking & writing)
• Ability to work under pressure with good working attitude, and ability to analyse and communicate with outstanding writing skills and synthesis spirit
• Possessing engineering license level I in Thailand would be an advantage
