Head of Data Science and MIS

About the Role

Head of Data Science & MIS is responsible for defining and leading the enterprise-wide strategy for Data Science, Advanced Modelling, and Management Information Systems (MIS). The role drives the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics capabilities to support executive decision-making, enabling accurate, timely, and commercially impactful business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the Data Science and MIS teams to deliver high-impact modelling, analytics, and decision support capabilities across the organization.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, and validation of predictive and prescriptive models to support revenue growth and business optimization.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timelines, and performance targets.
• Mentor and strengthen team capabilities in advanced statistical modelling, machine learning, data engineering, and business intelligence.
• Develop executive dashboards and decision intelligence tools that translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Integrate and analyze Big Data from omni-channel sources, including digital platforms, Super App, offline transactions, tenant data, and customer behavior touchpoints.
• Guide the team in translating analytical findings into executive-ready insights and decision frameworks.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration between Data, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and IT teams to embed data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Predictive Modelling, and MIS, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience leading and scaling Data Science and Business Intelligence teams at an enterprise level.
• Strong track record in developing and deploying predictive and prescriptive models that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Experience designing and governing enterprise MIS and executive decision support systems.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical outputs into strategic business recommendations for senior executives.
• Experience in retail, loyalty programs, omni-channel ecosystems, digital platforms, or large-scale consumer data environments is highly preferred.

Skills

• Strong expertise in data modelling and machine learning.
• Solid MIS and executive reporting knowledge; ability to develop executive dashboards and decision intelligence tools.
• Ability to translate data into business decisions and stakeholder-ready insights.
• Proven team leadership in Data Science / BI and cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in analytics tools (Python, R, SQL, BI platforms).
