Deputy Chief Financial Officer

About the Role

The Deputy CFO will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires direct experience with a listed company and a deep understanding of the property development sectors.

Responsibilities

• Assist the CFO in developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
• Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning and analyze financial performance to provide recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP and oversee quarterly and annual reporting for the listed company.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance standards.
• Manage treasury functions including cash flow management, banking relationships, and investment strategies; identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
• Support investor relations: prepare investor presentations, earnings calls, and communications; manage relationships with investors and analysts.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance; foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration.
• Assist in evaluating and executing M&A opportunities, including due diligence, valuation, and integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and Accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
• Direct experience with a listed company, including knowledge of regulatory and reporting requirements.
• Strong understanding of the property development sectors.
• Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategy; experience with M&A.
• Proficiency in financial software and SAP systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; high level of integrity and professionalism.
