Responsibilities

• Conduct legal assessments of new products, services, and features, providing actionable advice to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Update and maintain Terms of Use, privacy policies, and other legal documents to align with evolving laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders from concept through deployment to provide legal input.
• Monitor and analyze changes in e-commerce and technology laws and advise Product teams on compliance strategies across jurisdictions.
• Provide guidance on intellectual property matters, including copyright and trademark issues related to product development.
• Advise on data privacy and security laws to ensure products and practices meet global data protection standards.
• Provide general legal support for product development, including drafting and negotiating agreements with partners and vendors when necessary.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in technology or e-commerce sectors.
• Strong working knowledge of e-commerce law, AI, digital privacy laws, and technology-related regulations.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Team player with high standards of integrity and commitment to excellence.
