Senior C++ Application Software Engineer - Self Driving

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
• Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
• Review code and design
• Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
• Integrate and validate new product designs
• Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
• Provide post production support
• Interface with hardware design and development
• Assess third party and open source software

Qualifications

• > 5 years working experience in software engineering
• BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
• Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and peer review
• Fixing bugs, optimizing the system, and maintaining the software program
• Documenting software application values
• Working knowledge of Git/Bitbucket version control
• Experience working with API integration
• Development experience within embedded systems/firmware design and dealing with complex systems and codebases (HALs, sub-systems, etc.)
• Experience bringing up Android devices and with Android system software and Android HALs
• Experience with Java programming, Android Auto, and Android applications

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with autonomous driving or ADAS perception systems
• Background in SLAM, 3D reconstruction, occupancy networks, or sensor simulation
• Track record of publications in top-tier conferences
