About the Role

Responsible for supporting fund managers through market analysis, portfolio performance management, and trade recommendations to enhance returns and maintain top-quartile performance. The role includes preparing daily and weekly market updates, monitoring cash flows and portfolio positions, managing foreign exchange hedging strategies, researching industry trends such as ESG integration, and providing administrative support for documentation, meetings, and account setup.

Responsibilities

• Update global markets, outlook and macro-level trends
• Support fund managers on portfolio performance management, recommend trade ideas and initiatives to improve FIF performance to top-quartile ranking; initiate new tools/instruments to enhance returns and reduce cost
• Write daily market updates and weekly fund recommendations; present outlooks to the investment team and recommend funds to the marketing team weekly
• Monitor subscriptions, redemptions and cash balances daily; update and report portfolio positions
• Perform foreign exchange management, including hedge ratio and optimal hedge ratio analysis
• Research and present industry trends such as ESG integration in asset management
• Attend meetings to record minutes and prepare investment information for fund managers
• Provide administrative support for documentation and trade paperwork
• Support opening new fund accounts or new counterparties
• Other duties as assigned by team head and senior leaders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business or Engineering
• Fund manager license preferable
• Strong analytical skills and experience with Bloomberg and Refinitiv/Reuters
• English proficiency preferred
• Good attitude, willingness to learn, and prudent approach
• Presentation skills are a plus

Skills / Technical Skills

• Expertise in capital markets, economic landscape and regulatory developments
• Proficient in Bloomberg, Refinitiv and analytics platforms
• Understanding of local regulatory frameworks
• Knowledge of portfolio risk analytics, performance attribution and compliance systems
