Responsibilities

• Lead the hotel's financial strategy and operational performance
• Oversee all financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Establish and optimise internal controls to safeguard the hotel's assets
• Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Review and approve capital expenditure proposals in line with the hotel's strategic objectives
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with third parties in the region, including banks, auditors and tax authorities
• Collaborate closely with the Hotel General Manager and cross-functional Executive Team to drive overall hotel performance
• Liaise with the Corporate Office to ensure alignment with group-wide financial policies and objectives
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and stakeholders
• Oversee the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting exercises
• Implement and maintain robust cost control measures across all departments
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and accounting standards
• Manage cash flow and working capital to optimise the hotel's financial position
• Oversee the payroll process and ensure accurate and timely payment of staff
• Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost savings across hotel operations

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field and professional accounting qualification
• Minimum 5 years' experience at managerial level with a track record of driving hotel finance performance; strong technical accounting, finance and taxation skills; preparation, review, analysis and presentation of management and statutory reporting; extensive knowledge of hotel internal controls; knowledge of budgeting processes; team management with ability to meet tight deadlines and coach staff
• Rebranding/pre-opening experience and experience setting up and managing a cluster finance operation is an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Computer literate, including systems implementation and knowledge of Sun, Opera and Micros
