Operations Capability Manager

About the Role

Drive plant performance through deep dive gap analysis and application of Lean Six-Sigma to identify and implement improvement opportunities. Initiate, manage and drive productivity and digitalization projects to achieve AOP targets. Lead TPM program and coordinate sustainability agenda with Engineering. Build and sustain team capabilities in Lean Six-Sigma, TPM and technical operations knowledge. Deliver plant performance reporting with validated accurate data and carry out special assignments as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive true efficiency across production: material, labor and utilities efficiencies via deep dive and gap analysis using Lean Six-Sigma methodologies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to create and execute action plans to achieve expected results.
• Lead brainstorming sessions to generate productivity ideas and initiate new projects with cross-functional teams.
• Manage implementation of productivity projects/initiatives to realize expected savings and report productivity savings vs plan, including governance of productivity estimation and saving realization.
• Drive digitalization projects (initiated locally or deployed from OU/Global) to implementation and realization of targeted benefits.
• Lead TPM program activities and drive TPM pillar implementation and culture integration with cross-functional teams.
• Deliver plant performance reports in the reporting system, validate data and ensure numbers from other functions follow global definitions and frameworks.
• Co-drive sustainability agenda including projects, assessments, deep dives and actions with the Engineering team to meet target milestones.
• Develop and sustain team capabilities in Lean Six-Sigma, TPM and technical operations knowledge, including capability build-up programs and onboarding platforms.
• Undertake other assignments as assigned by the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science or related field; postgraduate in Engineering/Science/MBA or related field preferable.
• 5-8 years' experience driving performance in manufacturing, with proven experience in Lean Six-Sigma projects, cost reduction/productivity programs and TPM.
• Experience in gap analysis, statistical analysis and implementation of digitalization projects.
• Proven experience managing and driving cross-functional teams and setting up team capability build-up programs.
• Good project management skills and ability to lead teams in cross-functional environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence across all stakeholder levels; good leadership and strategic/analytic thinking.
• Good communication in Thai and English.
• Good knowledge and experience in Lean/Six Sigma methodology and TPM; Certified Green Belt or Black Belt preferable.
• Demonstrated creativity and continuous improvement mindset.
• Good computer skills, e.g., Microsoft Office, Minitab, Power BI, PowerApp.
