Test engineer Durability in automotive, Thailand

About the Role

Work with research, development and testing departments within automobile companies to support mechanical durability and vehicle electronic features testing, combining knowledge of communication protocols with mechanical durability and reliability methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute vehicle test activities.
• Perform vehicle inspections, static and basic dynamic evaluations, and vehicle measurements.
• Download and check data acquisition and perform test reporting.
• Monitor routes and test events including main inspection, maintenance and measurements.
• Report to customer and travel to test locations to monitor test partners.
• Lead and manage drivers team.
• Perform vehicle measurements and monitor tests on-site; work hands-on as required.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years experience in the automotive industry (other industry experience may be considered).
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred; other engineering majors may be considered.
• Thai driving license and own vehicle.
• Fluent in Thai and English (speaking, reading & written).
• International experience is a plus; Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Passion for automobiles, eagerness to learn, service-minded, flexible and adaptable in a small team.
• Multi-tasking, hands-on skills, ability to work independently and under pressure, strong sense of responsibility and ownership, good communication and coordination skills.
