Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of recreation areas including fitness centre, kids club, resort activities, and tour desk.
• Assist in supervising, training, and motivating recreation team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
• Ensure all recreational equipment and facilities are properly maintained, safe, and clean.
• Prepare staff schedules and support in monitoring departmental budgets and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in all areas.
• Coordinate and implement a variety of guest programs and activities that suit all age groups, and design creative and engaging events that enhance guest satisfaction and encourage participation.
• Handle guest feedback promptly and ensure continuous improvement in the recreation offerings; collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated guest experiences.
• Supervise fitness operations and ensure trainers and attendants deliver safe, professional, and engaging fitness sessions; promote wellness programs and maintain updated knowledge of fitness trends.
• Oversee daily operations of the Kids Club, train staff on child interaction, creativity, and safety procedures, and develop seasonal and themed activities.
• Manage and coordinate tours and island excursions for guests, maintain relationships with external tour suppliers to ensure service quality and safety standards, and assist in creating signature local experiences that highlight Koh Yao Yai’s culture, nature, and community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Sports Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in recreation, leisure, or guest activity management in luxury hospitality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a service-minded attitude.
• Excellent command of English; additional languages are a plus.
• Sound knowledge in fitness, wellness, kids programs, and tour operations.
• Certified in First Aid / CPR preferred.
• Creative, energetic, and passionate about guest engagement and activity design.

Additional Information

• Work arrangement: onsite; Employment type: part-time.
• Relocate to remote area.
