Senior AI Architect, APAC

About the Role

The Red Hat APAC Solutions and Technology Practice team in Professional Services is looking for a Senior AI Architect to collaborate with regional sales, consulting, and engineering teams to scope and deliver customer engagements across the Asia‑Pacific region. You will lead the design and development of scalable AI workloads for industries such as finance, telecommunications, manufacturing, and healthcare, mentor regional architects and consultants, craft repeatable delivery methodologies, and represent Red Hat as an industry leader in AI technologies. Role involves up to 40% travel across APAC.

Responsibilities

• At 3 months: complete enablement programs focused on OpenShift and Red Hat AI Platform; scope and deliver consulting engagements applying containerization and AI technologies; support regional consulting and sales in early engagements; own solution scoping and architectural direction for initial engagements, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, scalability and business outcomes.
• Within 6 months: lead design and implementation of customer solutions on AI Platform; develop expertise in distributed workloads, hardware accelerators at scale, or ISV partner integrations; collaborate with product engineering and sales to align customer feedback with solutions roadmap; collaborate with consultants to deliver high‑quality AI projects; mentor regional consulting teams and set standards for reusable assets and delivery excellence.
• Within 12 months: drive adoption of AI best practices and methodologies across APAC for scalable and repeatable platform deployments; participate in and contribute to the Red Hat AI community of practice by sharing lessons learned and technical expertise; represent APAC in global AI strategy discussions and contribute regional perspectives to Red Hat’s technology vision; develop AI solutions tailored to APAC customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related technical field.
• Experience leading successful AI consulting engagements in APAC or similar markets, including shaping opportunities, driving delivery and achieving measurable business outcomes.
• Strong ability to translate AI capabilities into business value, including ROI‑driven use case prioritization.
• Proven ability to architect and design complex solutions in rapidly evolving technology environments; expertise in architecting scalable AI/ML systems including distributed training/inference, data pipelines and production deployment.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and hands‑on levels, from advisory to deep technical architecture; ability to learn and stay on top of emerging AI solutions quickly.
• Experience with modern predictive and generative AI techniques; strong application architecture and development expertise.
• Deep expertise with Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes and open source AI community projects such as Kubeflow, PyTorch and vLLM.
• Familiarity with AI use cases in industries such as finance, telecommunications, healthcare, or retail within APAC.
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior IT and business executives, including presenting to C‑level stakeholders; excellent communication and presentation skills across diverse cultural and professional audiences.
• Hands‑on experience with agile, DevOps, MLOps and LLMOps methodologies and platform engineering practices.
• Willingness to travel across APAC (up to 40% of the time).
