Buyer and Merchandiser (All Level)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Buying and Merchandising Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting and managing the product assortment, OTB planning, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring that the right products are available at the right time. Open to candidates across all experience levels, from entry-level to senior positions.

Responsibilities

• Buying: Identify and select products that align with the brand’s aesthetic and customer preferences; conduct market research on fashion trends and competitive products; negotiate with suppliers to secure best prices, terms and delivery schedules; develop and maintain supplier relationships; set sales projections and Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets; monitor and manage product assortment performance.
• Merchandising: Plan and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability; persuade cross-selling across categories; create visually appealing product displays; collaborate with marketing and sales on promotional strategies and campaigns.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and reorder as necessary; manage stock across warehouses and retail stores; implement inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage; coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams for timely delivery.
• Analysis and Reporting: Analyze weekly, monthly and yearly sales reports to identify trends and opportunities; provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis; monitor industry trends and market conditions.
• Product Management: Coordinate OTB with merchandising to meet buying targets; plan merchandising and store distribution by product range; recommend best-selling and slow-selling styles to designers and merchandising team; analyze merchandise performance and act on fast- and slow-moving items.

Qualifications

• Entry-Level: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, Merchandising or related field; 1–3 years of experience in buying and merchandising (preferably fashion retail); strong analytical and numerical skills; excellent communication and negotiation skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of inventory management systems; passion for fashion and current trends.
• Mid-Level: Bachelor’s degree; 4–6 years’ experience in buying and merchandising (preferably fashion retail); proven track record of product selection and inventory management; strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools; project management and organizational skills; ability to work cross-functionally; keen eye for trends and customer preferences.
• Senior-Level: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; 7+ years’ experience in buying and merchandising, preferably in a leadership role; proven experience developing and executing buying and merchandising strategies; strong leadership and team management skills; deep understanding of market research, data analysis and inventory management; expertise in supplier negotiation and relationship management; strong industry network.
• Fluent in Thai with a good command of English.
