Job Description

This is a hands-on accounting position for someone who takes pride in accuracy, deadlines, and a well-reconciled ledger. You'll own the general ledger, drive month-end and year-end close, and be the go-to person for statutory tax filings and audit coordination. If you enjoy the satisfaction of a balanced set of books and thrive on process and precision, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

• Own the General Ledger — manage day-to-day GL activity, verifying the accuracy of accounting entries, invoices, and withholding taxes
• Drive the Close — perform monthly and annual account closing and prepare financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards
• Reconcile with Confidence — review and reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Stay Compliant — prepare and file VAT and withholding tax returns, including Forms 30, 1, 3, 53, 54, and 36
• Keep Payroll-Adjacent Obligations on Track — process social security payments accurately and on time
• Support Audit Readiness — coordinate with and provide information to auditors as requested

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years in general accounting, tax compliance, and financial close processes
• Strong working knowledge of local VAT and withholding tax requirements
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to reconciliations
• Comfortable working to statutory deadlines and coordinating with external auditors
• A team player who communicates clearly across finance and operations
