Operating Technician

At Dow we put people first and are passionate about integrity, respect and safety. Dow Thailand Group is looking for an Operating Technician. The successful candidate will be assigned to the Polyethylene plant based in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong. On-site, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines using panel boards, control boards, or semi-automatic equipment.
• Perform and report operational activities per the Operations Dashboard (OPD) Tasks List.
• Confer with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, or product quality.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solutions and solve problems.
• Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from relevant sources and communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
• Operate work by following safety procedures, work orders, and instructions.

Qualifications

• New graduate with internship experience in petrochemical or chemical industry.
• Graduated from High Vocational Technical College in Petrochemical, Production Technique or relevant discipline with minimum GPA 2.75.
• Thai native speaking.
• Moderate level of English communication in writing and reading.
• Good computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams).

Skills

• Process operation & control: ability to operate chemical processes and perform major troubleshooting of process deviations.
• Safety & compliance: knowledge of plant safety procedures, hazard identification, emergency response protocols, and environmental/occupational health standards.
• Technical & analytical: ability to observe, collect, and interpret operational data; familiarity with petrochemical processes and equipment.
• Communication & coordination: report operational conditions clearly, escalate issues promptly, and collaborate in shift-based operations.
• Continuous learning & adaptability: willingness to develop technical skills on the job and adapt to dynamic plant conditions.
