Key responsibilities

• Ensure that all public, guest-facing and back of house areas of the hotel are properly cleaned at all times, in line with the hotel’s Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning these areas.
• Report any fire or safety hazard to housekeeping management.
• Ensure all health & safety requirements are adhered to.
• Ensure records are maintained for housekeeping inventory as applicable.
• Ensure that lost and found articles are processed properly.
• Follow and recommend measures to minimize all wastage of materials and amenities are used in the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, public area cleaning, or a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
• Basic understanding of health, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to perform tasks that require prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements.
• Honest, reliable, and able to handle lost and found items with integrity and confidentiality.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
