Assistant Chief Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel systems and equipment.
• Take full responsibility for the Engineering Department when the Chief Engineer is absent.
• Prepare and submit reports, including energy consumption reports, using Excel and other computer systems.
• Monitor and control energy usage to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Communicate clearly in English with team members, other departments, and management.
• Lead and support the engineering team, and respond quickly to guest and operational requests.
• Ensure all work follows safety standards and IHG brand requirements.

Requirements

• Able to communicate in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Good computer skills, especially in Excel and reporting.
• Experience in preparing energy consumption reports.
• Background in hotel or building engineering and maintenance.
• Able to lead the team and make decisions when the Chief Engineer is not on duty.
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and a desire to grow within IHG.
