QLTY & RELIABILITY ENGINEER II (MQE)

The Quality & Reliability Engineer (MQE) is responsible for ensuring product quality and reliability through systematic problem solving, robust quality planning, and continuous improvement. The role leads customer complaint resolution, containment actions, and corrective/preventive plans using tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, and MSA. This position conducts QMS and manufacturing process audits, supports APQP, PPAP, and safe launch activities, and collaborates closely with operations and cross‑functional teams to uphold automotive and electronics quality standards while driving process excellence.

Responsibilities

• Organize team and champion complaint resolution.
• Coordinate and execute containment actions.
• Investigate and identify root causes; establish corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
• Implement and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide 8D responses and manage complaint closure correspondence.
• Conduct Process FMEA and participate in Design FMEA.
• Establish APQP, Quality Control Plan and Quality Inspection Plan.
• Establish measurement standards and visual inspection methods.
• Review non-conforming articles, provide dispositions and follow-up corrective actions with operations.
• Conduct QMS internal audits and manufacturing process audits.
• Design inspection gauges and establish gage usage guides.
• Plan and conduct experiments, evaluations, capability studies and measurement system analysis (MSA).
• Conduct quality awareness sessions for operations personnel.
• Conduct tooling, process and material qualification and validation.
• Conduct process certification and safe launch program for new and transferred products.
• Participate in 6-Sigma projects, Kaizen events and continual improvement activities.
• Perform other assignments delegated by superiors.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Polymer, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Preferably 3–5 years of quality control experience in automotive and/or electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge/certification: ISO9001 / IATF16949 / ISO14001, Quality Management System audit, Manufacturing Process audit, FMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, 8-Discipline methodology, 5-Why, Ishikawa, DOE preferred.
• Personal attributes: Good English speaking and writing skills; strong analytical, communication and presentation skills; positive mindset; good interpersonal skills; ability to manage priorities and work independently; innovative and open to change; high standards of ethics, integrity and accountability. Chinese speaking is an advantage.
• Specific requirements: Connector product and process knowledge; plastic injection process knowledge; automation assembly process knowledge; SAP experience; MiniTAB; PowerBI and Tableau knowledge.
