Float Hot End Process Engineer

About the Role

Hot End Process Engineer is responsible for the process stability at the hot end including batch house, furnace, tin bath and lehr. The process engineer must perform problem-solving analysis to improve the process in terms of safety, quality and efficiency and look for the opportunity to transform the process to be a scalable platform for future growth.

You will be part of the Float Line Department and report directly to the Float Line Manager. Onsite role.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety, quality and efficiency with a focus on long-term sustainability.
• Coach, supervise and coordinate with stakeholders to achieve production goals.
• Develop and upskill team members to increase value creation.
• Lead problem solving using analytical methods.
• Optimize furnace and tin bath energy consumption and reduce defect rates.
• Optimize changeover activities.
• Maintain machine and asset condition in the hot end area.
• Apply MBM guiding principles and frameworks in all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 3–5 years' experience in industrial/manufacturing work.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to communicate at different levels in English and Thai.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, performance-based environment.

Skills

• Minitab experience and statistics knowledge is a plus.
